GT4 in progressive scan PAL

Featured Replies

Is it possible. I've read loads on the web that GT4 supports upto 720p and 1080i with the use of a component cable which I now have.

I 've got one of the early PS2 that doesnt support Progressive scan for movies but it does for game. So if GT4 does support it how do I turn it on? Or was this one of the features they removed from PAL version?

Cheers

Have you adjusted the display setting on the ps2 itself? With no disc in, press triangle or whatever it is to take you into the console options?

I've set it up for 16:9 and Component output as the Yr........ not the RGB one :D

But I dont think its loading GT in 720P.

I dont think the UK consoles or UK games for the PS2 support progressive or HD. I believe this was a japan only thing.

I was under the impression that all Ps2 supported prgressive scan fro game. Think from the silver onward they also supported prgressive scan for movies.

The Getaway is a UK game and has a progressive scan option which is selected in the game settings not the console settings.

I read somewhere that GT4 is similar but I cannot find the option. I have a feeling it may have been removed from the PAL version :thumbdwn:

Im sure IVe seen such settings somewhere in the game, although I might be thinking of some weird settings available in GT3? I remember in one of the GT games going through a video settings section.
