Handling

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I am looking to improve the handling on my 1.8T. I would like to set it up so that it would corner like a cheetah but living in speed hump capital of the world, London and being a family man, common sense has to prevail.

How much better is the vRS suspension over the standard 1.8T? If I do go for one of the aftermarket kits which gives the best compromise?

Thanks

Braff

I've got the KW variant 1 on mine, well happy.

Variant 3 gives loads more scope but costs about a grand.

I've got standard RS suspension in my garage that I want to clear out.

Pm me and we'll see if we can arrange something.

A good clearout is good for the dyspension.

Here's your starter for 10 mate, go for it.

How much lower does the vRS sit compared to the standard 1.8T?

Hi Guys,

Braff have you considered fitting bigger anti roll bars front & rear? Or at the very least one on the rear? This would improve the cornering agility of the car without too much hassle, especially as you are a resident of London Village with all of those glorious speed humps.....

I'd recommend the Eibach rear arb from Jabba, only

Hi home you dont mind me jumping in on this thread but i have a similar query as Braff,i was thinking about just lowering springs as i dont have the money for a full suspension set,are these worth it and if so what are the best ones to get?? I had an H&R set on my last car and was very happy with them

Get a rear ARB/Swaybar. Well worth the cash IMHO
