dog guard

Featured Replies

does anyone know of anywhere that sells dog guards for the octavia.

the cheaper the better obviously:thumbup:

I know someone who has a 2nd hand one for sale. PM me for his phone number

Per your pm. I assume you have an estate Octy?

Anyone know if the dog guard is suitable for either model?

Possibly I'd have thought, as the main difference is only really the height of the roofline beyond the back seats?

Bought a 'skoda' dog guard from fleabay for my estate and when it turned up it was for a hatch. Same design but as you say the dimension from back seat to roof line is different. It fitted OK and if you've got a big dog you'd probably get away with it. So the guard went back on ebay and a few weeks later got an estate one from ebay again.

I have a genuine hatch guard for sale (hardly used) you can pm me with an offer!

i just raise up the rear head rests!!!...that keeps her all snug and safe in the boot:)

That doesn't work for my dog (see avatar). I left him in the boot for 2 mins, came back to find he had cleared the headrests, and was sitting in the back seat, munching his way through a safety belt.

I'm thinking of investing in a dog guard too. It has to be cheaper than a couple of seat belts.

how did that lump get thru that gap?!!....mines a staffy and she cant get thru the gap!!:).....but she is trained not to get thru and just to lay down and sleep:)

He made a gap.... paws on headrest to push them down, then pushed his way through/ over the headrests.

Mine is trained too..... to disobey commands when my back is turned, then to look totally innocent when I look back. He cant wait to get in the boot when I am going somewhere, but then cries (literally) all the way there.

Maybe your bad driving style ;)

My Collie will generally stay in the back, but likes to sing along to the radio (using the handsfree kit to phone someone confuses him as he can't figure out where the second voice is coming from), and the husky does her best to get onto the back seat, which is bad due to her white coat!

the reason for me wanting one is that i have a 4 month old whippet pup who likes to jump up at the seats and i am worried that the little git will scratch my leather:mad:

been told by er indoors that it is going to have to wait a while anyhow as i am not allowed to spend anything else until after chrimbo:finger:

i did have one from argos!....was very cheap and did the job but i folded the seats down one day and never put it back up!.....fatheaded dog just sleeps unless we go up the ticknock road in dublin that goes up to the hill.....then she cries all the way there as she knows where she is going and what she can do when she gets there!!
