Second what difference does a dump valve make, does this improve power, all I can make out is that it makes a louder noise.

Thirdly a chip would be an obvious choice, how would I check that this mod hasn

If you want to check what power you are running now, a rolling road would be a good start.

Bmc CDA box with a forge turbo intake-pipe will give a few xtra hp and quicken up the throttle respone in all gears with a light increase in the dumping noise thru filter.

Dump valve will only be a benifit if its a resirculating type (no power increase) just better reliability than original.

Re-mapp will make the biggest diff most quality mapps will be about 3-400 quid and bring power on std car to about 205 ish, with some other mods like Exhaust ect 220-235 is acheivable
