Been enjoying the vRS for just under a week now and i'm loving every minute of driving it...

On the way home last night i had the window down a little and noticed the turbo whistle was louder than i'd expected, i wouldnt know if there was something wrong with it or not (i've never owned a turbo charged car before) so i thought i'd ask the question.

Do all your vRS' have fairly loud turbo's, loud in the manner that you can hear it spool up through the revs and then dump off when you let the accelerator go ? Bare in mind this car (as far as i'm aware) is totally standard.

I once drove a TD Vectra and that only made alot of noise when the turbo inlet pipe came off...

It pulls well and there doesnt seem to be any flat spots, i just wanted to check this was normal. The turbo comes in at about 2K rpm or at least thats when the whistling starts !

All sounds about right really. Wait until summer when you can drive around with the windows open all the time. The whistle is quite addictive!

Thanks guys, like i said i wouldnt know either way its just i wasnt expecting it to be so audible, i wouldnt say it was LOUD, but i wanted to check just incase.
