I thought it was about 1.2, but if you are running more, maybe I am wrong?

A remap ontop of tweeking the boost from the turbo? They are one and the same thing pretty much...

What remap have you currently got?

It all depends, 1.58 is the highest on the standard turbo I've seen but that is pushing your luck IMHO, more fuel will help but without increasing the amount of available air (read: boost) it will smoke badly.

I'd go back to your mapper, they may be able to do you a custom map that maxes out the turbo. Be aware that if you do this, the turbo life may be significantly reduced though, that's a decision you have to make

Right now I have a custom map made by landberg.dk. We are currently tweaking the map in order to gain as much as possible without the black cloud:thumbup:

I am aware that the standrad boost pressure is 1.2 bars, but right now, I am running at 1.4 bars - just to sort out any confusion.

A pressure rise to 1.5 might be the way to go, or am I wrong?

IIRC, the ECU gives the turbo 1.3 bar as standard - I remember wondering about this before my car was remapped, as it was pushing 1.5 bar on the standard map but with the hybrid. So perhaps requested boost of 1.3 by the car was 1.5 in reality due to the different hardware.

IIRC off the top of my head standard boost on a 130 PD TDI is 1.35bar. 1.50 bar on a 150 PD TDI and 1.55 bar on the ibiza cupra 160 PD TDI

The higher the number the better it is The easiest answer.

In reality the 150 probably has uprated bearings(etc) / can push higher volume through bigger turbine end or similar. The 160 takes it even further. The map from the factory plays a part too as there's no point having a more capable turbo if the ecu isn't using it. The 1.35,1.50,1.55 bar mentioned above sounds spot on, and reflects the map, not necessarily how good the turbo actually is (just how the manufacturer feels they're different )

PD130 uses a GT1749va on the golf platform. Fabia platform use a KKK K39 or something like that anyway.

PD150 uses a GT1749vb. I read it has a stronger shaft so can handle more boost over the va. Also heard the compressor wheel is larger.
