The controll for the display is on the wiper stalk! I suspect you are talking about the difference between the basic computer display and the maxidot option which fills up the central area rather than just half of it? Don't think the maxidot is retro fittable, certainly not cost effectively at least.

erm both the maxi dot and the tacho displays are controlled by the wiper stalk. The indicator stalk button controls the cruise control if you have it.

Yes it's do-able, but you would need to make sure the instrument cluster with the maxi-dot display on is the same immobilzier version as the one its replacing.

You'll also need the SKC for the old and new display and either vagcom or a friendly dealer to programme it.
