Rear ARB measurements

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where could I get the exact measurements for the rear ARB (preferably of the Jabba ARB, since it works so well), so I could bend it myself?

I live in Slovenia and it would be very expensive for me to buy it in the UK and ship it to Slovenia.

Sorry, but I dont think its that simple. Its not just "steel" for starters.

I know it's not just steel...

You may be surprised on the postage. If you can find a typical supplier of performance parts, they may have contacts that can ship to them from the UK, so you end up paying domestic postage in the UK, then the much cheaper shipping via the two companies. This worked well for someone who bought the same ARB, and lives in U.A.E.

Tried that, but the cheapest is still 60 quid:mad:

And since I could bend it for free, and also get the material for free, It would be very cheap for me to make one of these on my own :)

So I would appreciate a lot if someone told me where to get the measurements :)

The only people that would know I assume are JabbaSport as it's an inhouse development, either that or someone would need to get under their car and do the exact measurements, which at this time of year in the UK might not be that easy :D

HTH, Chris.

I'm sorry, but I think its either a case of cough up for postage, or develop your own by taking your own measurements off your car. Plus you need a way of holding the bar up.

I wouldn't be happy if I'd spent lots of time and money developping something for someone to just copy.

Have you not considered other modifcations (please excuse me if you've already done some of these) such as:

Lowering Springs, Shocks, Coilovers

Front Upper Strut Brace

Ibiza Cupra wishbone inserts (Udder Mod - do a search, well covered :))

Given the fact you have "access" to materials, you could probably even fabricate a Rear Strut Brace, I am aware a few members have done this in the past with good results (Carjacked Mike was the developer and i'm sure if you can contact him he would be pleased to give you some basic measurements).

Good Luck, Chris.

I've send a PM to Carjacked Mike, can't wait for his answer:)

One more thing: are Jabba the only ones that make rear ARB's for the Fabia (Ibiza, Polo)?

They are the only ones that make that ARB for the fabia - unsure if it works with ibiza or polo. £60 is still only about 25% of the actual cost of the ARB itself, so doesn't sound too bad. It would be around £20-£25 for domestic UK postage.

i've got an ARB in the shed , but my measuring tools are at work , unfortunetely i don't go back to work until Tuesday next week

If you would be so kind to measure it I would gladly wait till tuesday:thumbup:

  • 2 weeks later...
