I would love some genesis or other speakers but thought that the standard headunit would not be powerful enough to drive them.

True, some cheaper Alpine Type s speakers and a second hand amp then?

I would sugest changing the head unit first off, the differnce between the standard one and a half decent one (say £150+) is quite amazing

The difference between the OEM H/U and say my Pioneer DEH-P77MP H/U is incredible, literally transforms the sound coming out of the speakers.

I would love to get some upgraded tweeters for the front/back and upgraded front speakers inparticular however but don't fancy getting any component ones/have to make up MDF spacers or VAG Parts spacers.

I'd just like some standard co-axial ones that fit in the exact same mounting positions with the same depth.

Not sure if there are any out there however...

Any answers to what should be a relatively straight forward question?

Thanks, Chris.

Are they direct replacements I take it? :)

What Headunits have you guys put into the Fabia ???

Ive had a few, would recommend alpine and pioneers

I have an alpine in and it sounds 200% better then the standard fit unit.

Its not a new unit either, must be 6 years old - I took it out of my old Felicia 1.3 lxi.

I (or rather dsmithmobile) put in my Pioneer DEH-P7700MP unit that I took out of my previous car along with the pioneer ipod adapter.

I agree the improvement over the stock HU is pretty impressive!
