Who has the most powerful "tuned" Furby vRS?

Featured Replies

And how much bhp/torque does it make?

Please accept my apologies if this is a repost.

i think jabba luke must be one of the most powerfull he is producing 220 bhp +

aswell as jason with his mongrel which isnt to far behind

I think Star Performance's (or at least one they tuned) was chucking out 250bhp? I'm sure WW_RS will be up there shortly too when he gets round to getting his car remapped :P:rofl:

Chris

My money is on Jabba_Luke at the minute, but I think once WW gets his remap done he will be the leader.

Not forgetting Jason tho of course

strictly speaking Jasons isn't a VRS , Its only a PD100 with all the VRS stuff put on ,

still it has got the power(and smoke) so it can be included here:rolleyes:

Thanks guys.

Jasons is 220 bhp IIRC, Jabba Luke's is similar, if not slightly more. Once VW_VRS gets his custom code 2/3 on it, i'm sure his will be the number 1 pushing around 230-240, but then Jason IIRC is planning an even larger turbo/injectors in a hope to get to the magical 260 bhp Allard level.

But *technically* Jason's isn't a Fabia vRS, it is a Fabia Heinz 57.

Does anyone know the mods it took them to get to that level? and also how much each mod gained them

I am 100% excluded from this.

Jabba_Luke has my vote - 227bhp I think was his last RR run, but I'm unsure on the torque. Mine is 221bhp, but I've done lots, and am planning lots, since my last run.

My mods are: (ignoring the whole pd130 conversion thing)

Turbo, FMIC, Exhaust - that's pretty much it. Jabbasport remap too of course.

Without wanting to start a debate, it's also worth pointing out that each tuner's RR is likely to give different results so may not be fair to compare them!

Chris

I think the highest still lives in Scotland but others are creeping closer, just need injectors down south. :)

Well Luke and I have the same benchmark. :D There could well be others, especially this mysterious north of the border one. :D

We were both tuned and RR'd at Jabbasport. :)

How much power will one of these engines take before it loses reliability? Or is that still to be found out??

sorry i was referring to the mysteriously powerful northern fabia?

Star Performances? ;)

Chris

Mine is well below those figures at the moment, and there is TONS of work left to be done before I finally get round to custom mapping it.

Regarding injectors, I am STILL awaiting info on that but with the propane there should not be a need for it TBH as that will provide additional fuelling.

Assuming my car HAS indeed been run in AND it has been back to APS to ensure the car is ok, I will be on the RR for the very first time, to find out what kinda power I'm running.

Depending on whether I am allowed I would love to run twice, once with propane, once without. However as the day is pretty fully booked up I don't know whether that is something we can do or not :)

The custom remap might be done by custom code or someone else, this is still not decided, although I have a few other things on my todo list before I go all-out ;)

Jabba Luke probably has one of the most powerful Fabia vRS, Jason should win hands-down on the PD100-based models (admittedly he effectively has the vRS engine etc ;)). Quite convinced there are others out there who have very nice figures.

For me the all-out max bhp figure is gonna be fun, although I will say that I am personally more interested in getting maximum flexibility and max power under the curve.

Reliability question next - well I kinda thought mine would be good, but then I got a bit unlucky and next thing you know you've lost a grand on the engine repairs alone :(

Regardless, thanks for even including me in the 'potentials', quite flattered really :D

I think that one was tongue in cheek. :D

AFAIK - Star's car was at 215bhp for most of the time, although apparently it was capable of pushing 230+, I never saw any proof. The best vRS RR result I've seen so far is Luke's, then I think mine (yeah, I know... not a vRS  :P)

Don't know about that. I even took it for a spin...

Well, then it's an unproven myth. :D

Thing is if it actually had a 3.0 TDI engine in it (which would have been tight I'd imagine :D ) - it kinda rewrites the rule book.

I know Jason went for the swap, and it wasn't exactly the easiest job IIRC :D

It is a fantastic looking, unique car now though with a massive amount of grunt & if not 'THE' fastest/most powerful, it is most definitely very seriously contending for that spot ;)

Also Jabba Luke has a mild advantage in that he is obviously 'at' JabbaSport so it is probably paid for by JabbaSport and used for development of for example their turbo/FMIC etc (nothing wrong with that either ;))

Another person who used to have a Fabia vRS was devonmikeyboy who had allsorts of fun toys on his, unfortunately he rolled it (a LONG time ago) and he's now got an Audi that is fettled (a lot).

If that 3.0 TDI based beast is still about, let's get some pics under-bonnet, sounds like it could be an interesting read :D

That was a Seat Ibiza Cupra - pd160 one. I know because I have his nearside driveshaft in my car right now. :D:rofl:
