Smashed fog lamp :(

Featured Replies

My beautiful car has had its first fight and lost! my nearside fog lamp has been cracked by a stone.

i assume the unit needs replacing and not just the glass?

Anyone know how much i am looking at for a new unit and to fit the little sucker?

New one around £50 and the bumper removed

Take em both out.

Dont need them anyhow, only annoy other drivers anyway.

The Lupo ones are the same, normally you can buy a pair on eBAY for less than the cost of one from the stealers.

Its a common problem unfortunately.

And the bumper has to come off to change it really.

I got one a few weeks ago (not fitted it yet though) from ebay and the service is spot on.

sorry stu forgot to find out, heres your answer though, i would replace them, the fog last night here was hurrendous and on a single lane national speed limit carriage way, it will help to stop idiots (like one last night) over taking just as your normal beams emerge from the fog!!!!!!!!!!! Had you had had your fog lights on he may have reconsiderd the decision to overtake!!!

Just cover them up with clear plastic (or sellotape), every time our council puts chippings on our roads both of my lights get smashed, it just ain't worth replacing them and they still work.
