as the title says, im thinking of the old skool euro golf look, wide wheels with narrow tyres etc.

any thoughts on what width i can do, 8 wide maybe?

8" will fit, but I'd only recommend 7 or at a push, 7.5.

7.5s are OK on a fabia, even when lowered. As Tom says, 8" is probably pushing it a bit far, although I reckon some 8s with 225/40 rubber might be OK. It's just when it's lowered a lot, there could be issues I think. I run 7.5s on 215/40 rubber at the front, and have no problems. Also lowered about 60mm+ over standard.

I've heard you can get 8's on the back of one (Design 90's) with a stretched 215/40/16 tyre.

Oh, and that's lowered as much as the H&R Coilovers will go...

at the minute im torn between the old euro look with maybe some Avez a's or these

or for the race/rally look with some bigger say 17" super turismo's

im lowering the car 25 on H&R's and changing the anti roll bars to H&R also

the whole point was to get a cheap car for work and now im spending almost as much on this as the ///M!
