i'm looking forward to buy a 2002 octavia, and i want to know in what points i should put more attention, what are the most popular problems in this car

what should i change inmmediatly, what performance mods can be done..

etc, please, i accept all the advices...

What variant of the TDI 90, 110 or PD 130.

The MAF is fairly common to go odd, and the 110 suffers from sticking turbo where the variable vanes get gummed up and stick so stalling the turbo.

ARB bushes on the front are really common to go, and look out for squeaky front seat bases as this indicates that you will probably need a new seat base.

Wipers should stop correctly as this can indicate problems with the wiper motor, and should work quietly as the wiper linkages have a tendency to rust up and need lubricating. If it has gone too far then it's a new linkage.

Check the little box on top of the battery to make sure it hasn't overheated.

i want a tdi 90, some specific problem on that one?
