Mystery of the missing GPS signal

Featured Replies

There is in increase in chatter regarding UFO activity over middle england going up as high as Sheffield. They're already here but the extra activity is due to a full scale invasion.

They'll never notice us down here in NZ. But I'll wear my tinfoil hat just to make sure I'm safe!

Edit: Sorry,

I've lost all signal on my TomTom 910 too.

I used my factory fitted SatNav twice today. Each time, no troubles at all. In my "other" car tomorrow so will need to use my TomTom, I hope there's no trouble with it because I haven't a clue where I'm going...

Mines running on a PDA with a cheapo Holox 32 channel ebay cheapo receiver it that makes any difference.

Must buy more tin foil

Last night my PDA sat nav took a fair few mins to locate a sat, and today my Talex took a few mins longer than normal too. Might just be the UFO's coming, perhaps thats where some of the new members are coming from

(Only joking DaveG40;) )

Many thanks. Hope it turns up this week as I have a couple of out of the area drives on Friday, Monday, Tuesday and following Friday.

Chris

Got communication from them today. Turns out they were on holiday:rolleyes: Part timers eh? Should see it tomorrow.

No signal for me...thats becuase it was bloody stolen out of my car!

I went to Glasgow yesterday morning, turned around and set off straight back ( after picking up daughter)

My talex worked fine all the way up, but on the way down was practically useless until I got to Shap.

The only thing it did was keep telling me to slow down because several times it was showing I was travelling in excess of 140 mph:eek:

Funny that, as the cruise was set at 74 mph.

Did the journey in my brothers Laguna, oft slated, but a very able and comfortable car, with a host of toys.

Emily, have you checked the batteries? I noticed my GPS took literally 15mins to find where it was recently, turned out the batteries had run flat and it had defaulted it's location to Tokyo. Took a while for it to work out where it was in the world!

Mine was showing I was doing 30 when I was doing about 60 too

My TomTom is working fine for me today. Travelled south from M1 J25 120 miles without a glitch and thats through the supposed athermic windscreen of my hire car.
