Poor Service From Dealer

Featured Replies

Is it just me or do you have get in touch with the dealer even if they said they will ring you.

I am fed up of chasing them up when the service manager told me he will phone me up. I only go to this dealer because I bought the car here and it is close to work, next time it will me Lightcliffe.

My car was serviced in September and needed a replacement seat base. Despite me telling the dealer about this in advance, they didn't get one in stock, so didn't fix it at the service; they then said they'd ordered one but didn't contact me at all.

I rang them in December to see what was happening and they blatantly hadn't got a clue, as they had one in stock but hadn't bothered to call me about it.

Now it's been fitted, and the seat covers are all filthy whereas they were spotless before.

Oh, and when they fitted it and drove the car to pick my wife up from town where they'd dropped her off, she got in to drive the dealer chap back to the garage and the seatbelt couldn't be done up because they hadn't fitted things back together properly. She asked the dealer chap why he hadn't noticed and he said "cos I never wear seatbelts". D'oh!

I think I might change to my local dealer rather than the one where we bought it.

No it's not you, Skoda dont give a toss about you, or anyone else for that matter once they've got your cash!

Can I ask what is the point of comments like this?

I know your opinion of Skoda (which you seem to delight in posting on a regular basis) but there is no way you can substantiate a claim like that.

OK - the dealer (or dealers) that YOU tried may not have given the service that YOU expected, but there are many members on here who are perfectly satisfied with the service they receive.

The point of it, is an answer to a question.

And it's not just the dealers I've used (a fair few of them too) but Skoda UK themselves.

I dont need to substantiate it, I know exactly how I was treated, and there are also plenty of other members on here who feel the same way, and your right I do take great delight in voicing my opinion.
