Mintex pads - have I bought the right ones?!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, Im hoping someone could confirm that I have received the two correct parts for my 2002 Octy 4x4 before it goes to the garage to have them fitted!

At the rear I am running the standard 4x4 setup - 239mm solid disks - the pads I have recieved are MDB1377 - can anyone confirm these are correct?

At the front I have the Audi TT / Octy VRS setup with 312mm vented disks - could anyone confirm that these Mintex Xtreme pads labelled MDB1741X are the right pads for these disks (I know the pads are the same as used on the 288mm disk standard front 4x4 setup, just with a caliper spacer).

Any help is gratefully recieved. The only downside on owning the 4x4 that Ove found so far is that as soon as you say its a 4x4 the parts companies panic and say its not listed, hence my above questions.

Cheers,

Lee

According to ETKA, the 4X4 has the same rear pads as the standard 1.8T, ie PN: 1J0 698 451. The vRS with its larger ventilated rear brakes has different pads, ie 451C.
