Octy I vRS Brake Upgrade

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm coming up to an expensive time as all 4 tyres need changing (Thinking 225/45/17 F1's), and the cam belt will also need swapping looking at this year (How much is a CamBelt Service?), and I've also noticed a lip on the front and rear brake discs. I'm toying with the idea of using it as an excuse to upgrade them. I've heard it mentioned that the Balck Diamond Combi's and Ferrodo DS2500's are the combo of choice? How much are these likely to set me back, and how does the price differ from the stock parts?

I've tried looking on Demon Tweeks, but I can only find the the 288mm discs, when IIRC the stock front disc size is 312mm? What are the size of the rear discs?

Any help appreciated. :)

Kingy.

Front discs = 312mm vented

Rear discs = 256mm vented

The pad of choice does seem to be ferodo ds2500 and i'm looking for some of these myself. As for the discs cant help you there - still on standard discs altho i have just ordered some 40 groove jobies of ebay!
