Stutter.. then it went??!!

Featured Replies

Seems like a strange one, but on my way home tonight down the M3 I got caught in the usual rush hour traffic travelling about 40mph. Then as the queue sped up, I increased the throttle to find the car stuttering and the engine warning light flashing. This seemed to ease after a short while, only to re-appear a couple of miles later. The stutter mostly showed under throttle, but was evident to a lesser degree at steady driving. Then it went! and the remainder of my drive home was then stutter free!!

I have looked at the 'sticky' but not sure if that fits my problem... Any ideas

Just an update....

The very nice AA man solved the problem this morning....

COIL PACK!

I thought the problem had been sorted (in particular on cars of my age, but clearly not)

Thanks for the feedback. I would recommend carrying a spare coil pack.
