Re:Warranty

Featured Replies

Hi All.

I have an octavia l&k registered 01/03/04, last night while going to work the outside of the front passenger window was misted up on the outside pushed the button to let the window down and i heard a grating/clunking noise from inside the door:eek: tried to bring the window back up, managed with a little persuasion by pushing button up and pulling window up wards, phoned my local dealer this morning can't get it in until Tuesday to be fixed under the warranty.

My question is: If the window was to drop down overnight while i was at work and the rain/dirt/whatever was to get on the leather seats/carpets etc should the warranty pay for the damage caused, the dealer said that i would have to make a separate claim hoping (not guaranteed) that they would pay for any other damage.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would duct tape it up to be on the safe side

That's very good advice above. :)
