A bit sick.

Featured Replies

Got my RS4 replicas fitted, but the centre caps supplied were incorrect.

Waited a couple of weeks and the correct ones turned up, but with no Skoda badges.

Telephone call: "there's no badges"....."ah yeah, we can't get Skoda ones".

Decide to make my own, so get some decals off fleaBay and pop along to my local sign maker to get four perspex circles to suit the centres.

Prepped and painted the centre black, stuck on the decal and glued the perspex over the top of them.......smashing!!!

Glue reacts with centre cap and makes the silver paint go all bubbly around the edge of the perspex. BUGGER!! I'd already glued all 4 in my haste!!

So....from a distance they look pretty good, but close up they look crap.

Can anyone tell me where I can get some Skoda centre badges that are about 95mm diameter? I called Wheelbasedirect (or whatever you call them) and I got a "no, we don't sell them".......coz I didn't buy my wheels from them I think.

I'll have to buy four centre caps too, but that's my own fault for rushing the job.

Any information much appreciated.

I will give Wheelbase direct a try as I bought my wheels off them, my help me a little more.

I got my VW ones from a seller on ebay. I think he was called BadgerBadger or something like that, but he did all kinds of different sizes and car logos.

Edit:- Found the seller, it was Badger-Badger-Badger

95mm? That sounds huge. Are they really that big? I think standard Skoda caps (which thankfully fit straight in my VW alloys) are around 52mm.

There is a small recessed bit in the centre of the centre cap which is about 60mm diameter, but I placed a 55mm Skoda badge in it and IMO it looked daft!!

If you look at Audis which have the same wheels (and VW's), the badges cover the whole of the centre section of the cap....that's the look I want.

Cheers for the info............and Shaun...if you have any luck, please let me know. Many thanks.

Right managed to speek to them today. They will sell me some if they have them but. He cant see the larger one like I have on mine.

They has asked me to come down with one so he can see what he can find. Recon they are £15 each

Want to me go over?

Do a search on Flea-Bay for a seller called Motor_Licious , I got a set of 95mm from them for my RS4's and they are very good.

The actual centres for the wheels are 105mm, but the 95mm's are good if you just centre them.

Shaun,

Cheers for the effort mate......I'll chase the eBay seller first and if I have no luck, then I'll give you a shout eh?

I wouldn't want you to make a special run for me just yet........unless of course they were the "big" centres.

Cheers.

Or you can use the engine cover badges for the 1.8T etc, same kinda size as the grill badge. Also 1.4 MPI engine cover badges work well.

Found the eBay seller Beretta, so I've ordered a set of them from him.

Thanks to all who have responded. :)
