Rear wash wipe

Featured Replies

wipes but doesn't wash.

Yes. there is fluid in the resevoir.

Wondering if the pipe has popped off inside the hatch, and how removable is the trim?

Have a search on here, Its a common problem.

Before you start removing trim, check under the bonnet as IIRC, the connection under there can become loose and it'll spray washer fluid all over the engine bay :D

yep 8 out of 10 times on mine its the connection just down the back of the bulkhead. bit fiddly but I've perfected a one handed technique now!

I've perfected a "one handed technique" now too - not to operate the rear wash stalk when it's cold!

 yep I dont use mine neither, I pray for a splash of rain!

Mine popped off once too often in engine bay, chopped off connections, pushed rubber pipe over each end,

placed plastic tie each side, ended problem immediately.

Drastic measure to tail-gate

Cut hole in rear tail-gate trim to access area, self-tappers screws hold a small plastic cover over hole, problem solved.

After fighting to remove tail-gate trim ripping flesh from my knuckles to pop pipe back-on,

I thought of above idea, my knuckles have completely healed, even after pipe popped off again, and was replaced into position,

in about 2 minutes. LOLemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Mines was wetting itself, hose came loose under the bonnet pushed it back on problem sorted.

I don't know how people live with no rear wipers on a fabia, I like to be able to see out my rear window :)

I totally agree.

I've just pushed mine back together this morning after it popped off this week. Massively fiddly and a touch frustrating, especially with a strut brace in the way, but the sound of it engaging properly was wonderful :D

Consequently the rear window is now clean; well, at least the arc covered by the wiper is!

Mine was the one in the engine bay, i have a pic to show anyone where it is because i had a nightmare trying to find it but i cant seem to upload it so if anyone wants it then email me.

Thanks for you help people

Rear washer jet issues... help!

Ap0gee's post (no 11) normally helps. There are some pics on page 2.

The most common place is the bulkhead connection. This afternoon I have fixed both mine and my mums rear washer as it came off there. I didn't manage to do it one-handed though.
