I'm a newbie too. Just recently returned to Skodas, having driven two Octavias in the past. Now in a 1.9 TDI 110 Elegance Auto Estate and really pleased with its performance and economy.

Had a surprise yesterday though, when I returned to my parked (& locked car), to find all the windows wide open!! Didn't realise that the remote key button will open all the windows if you keep it depressed within 45 secs of deactivating the alarm. I know now! Fortunately it hadn't rained for an hour or my seats would have been drenched. Nothing nicked either - phew!
