Octavia Estate: removing rear door trim

Featured Replies

The rear door electric window of my 2000 estate does not work. When the switch is depressed there are lots of clunking noises but no movement of the window.I have tried to remove the door trim to investigate but was stuck after I had removed the 7 small screws. If anyone can advise me of what else needs to be done to remove the trim, I would be most grateful.

It sounds like the window regulator has gone. Part is around £60-65 from memory. Can't really help with the trim removal, its a case of finding the screws and then pulling to release the clips.

Oh, and welcome to Briskoda.net

There are two more screws located behind the door handle you need to remove the front part but it's very tricky I used a screwdriver but it's hard to do without damaging the plastic came off eventually though!
