360 HD DVD Player / Tescos

Featured Replies

Just noticed that the Xbox 360 HD DVD player is back in stock at Tesco.com.. and with various discounts and clubcard points, I just bagged one for..

wait for it...

£75.13!!!!!!

Delivery within 7 days. :D

Roll on HD goodness (more so now with the great news about movies of an adult nature leaving blu-ray.. not that swmbo dosn't fill every one of my needs.. but thats another thread:rolleyes: )

Out of stock now, showing "normally dispatched within 28 days."

Which according the their site means

"Product is not in stock and will take 28 days to receive from the supplier, pack and prepare for dispatch"

This is the bit I would be concerned with, items with 7 days despatch are also not in stock.

Cant See it :(

The main reason I brought from Tesco was the massive discount with clubcad points etc and up until just minutes before I posted the orignal thread I had not been able to find them on the Tesco site (unless you count the first batch they had which I rather stupidly spent a day thinking about before trying to order..)

I knew that various suppliers were getting very limited stocks on the 15th and thankfully Tesco seems to be one of them.

Even if the order does get held until the next supply, I suppose I'm not really going to moan as they have saved me enough to keep me in KFC comfort food until it eventually arrives...

Fingers crossed for the 7 day dispatch, even says that on my reciept.

having seen the unit in action through a friends HD projector setup its worth every penny and tbh really annoying that its rarer then rocking horse ****

he got his in hmv in oxford street, non on shelf but a couple hidden "out back" lol

Gahhhh!!

Just checked my order online and it seems thats cancelled too. I phoned to check and was told it was due to stock problems and the order wouldn't be held until new stock arrives as they don't have dates... but not to worry as the clubcard vouchers I used would be re-credited..

Damnit.. I was sooo sure that I had got the order in quick enough.

I've heard rumours that Microsoft are deliberatley keeping stock low to ensure a really high demand as a sort of 'in your face' to Blu-ray.. farking-world-wide-mega-companies-think-they-know-best.. grr!

not quite sure now that theory works. As far as I'm concerned, as I was out in Japan, I just bought a PS3 instead, so not only have they not sold me a HD-DVD drive, they've also lost the opportunity to sell me an xbox 360 LOL :P

Just a quick update...

softuk.com has THEM IN STOCK (as of this post time) £149.99 including NEXT DAY COURIER DELIVERY.

Enter code 'Cheap games' at checkout for a small discount.

Just ordered one and the guy even CONFIRMED it would arrive tommorow before 12pm.

I managed to get two of these before xmas. I bought one of a forum member on avforums and one came through just before xmas from a pre-order at gameplay that I forgot to cancel. Sold that on at cost price to a forum member to keep the chain moving. (av forums)

I would say try gameplay if anyones after one and doesnt mind waiting for it
