Very nice, looks like the GTi should have anyhow.

VERY nice, i like it

shame about the wonky tail pipes lol

infact, how much are they? i want one (being serious)

wheels are very disappointing IMHO. should have been a size bigger or something.

other than that i like the car :)

"wonky tailpipe" seams to be the in thing atm.. ala octy II vRS, GTI... don't ask me why but they all are!

Small writeup:

To mark the 30th Anniversary of the Golf GTI a new limited edition Golf GTI Edition 30 has been revealed. This GTI Edition 30 is an exciting new addition to the Golf GTI model that will continue the legacy of the outstanding GTI performance and appeal to the needs of our enthusiasts.

The exclusive new Golf GTI Edition 30 from £22,295, packs an extra 30PS - one more for each anniversary year, making it a truly hot hatch. The new unique 230PS 2.0-litre T FSI engine achieves 0-62 in 6.8 seconds, and a top speed of 150mph.

18-inch 'Pescara' alloy wheels, a range of stylish colours including Tornado Red, and the exclusive Edition 30 badge all signal the car’s sporting intent.

In the cabin, unique premium 'Vienna' leather and 'Interlagos' fabric heated sports seats, the GTI badge on the red-stitched leather steering wheel, floor mats trimmed in red, and golf-ball design gear lever continue the dynamic theme. And to complete the exclusive look the door sill also boasts an Edition 30 logo.

The new Golf GTI Edition 30 specification is closely related to the high level seen on the current Golf GTI and shares many desirable features. These include chrome twin exhaust tailpipes, 2Zone electronic climate control air conditioning, six airbags and of course the unique GTI honeycomb grille.

The exclusive new Golf GTI Edition 30, from £22,295 RRP, is also available in Black, Candy White, Reflex Silver (Metallic), Steel Grey (Metallic) and Diamond Black (Pearl), and will be available to order from November 2006.

Yeah we had one delivered last week aswell, funny enough the same colour as that one, bit disappointed with the seats, thought they would do some decent two tone recaros, rear valance is quite nice though, take off the badges though and no one will prob know the difference,

Personally speaking... seats..... YUK!!

Was just thinking that - really let down the car :(

Chris

They've gone Old Skool - same with the standard GTI.

Seat pattern & golf ball gear kn0b as in the Mk1 & 2 GTI's.

I like it. But dont think its worth the extra money. From what ive hear the GTI is a great all-round car so why change it?

My lil opinion...

Tis expensive though isnt it !!

Bet you could have an Octavia with every option (including the elusive leather heated seats ;)) for less than that!

Exactly

So it begs the question - what is the point. As you said all the extras on an octy vRS and a remap (for less ££££) = better car IMHO

As you said all the extras on an octy vRS and a remap (for less

I'd buy it for that tbh, infact I am tempted.

With no warranty! I'm also sure the Golf will hold it's value much better so total cost of ownership may well be lower :D

Not that I'd have it

Chris

depends how long you wish to own a car I suppose... But I agree, the Golf at least comes with 3 years 'trouble free' motoring....

Quite honestly i know i'm dropping a bomb on still water here... but these really are worth every penny over the vRS jst for the quality alone.... then of course the looks....

NOT AT ALL! You are spot on, the same as many BMW's over Skoda's.

i need to agree, alot of people would buy it as its 230ps with a warranty! the golf actually surprised me, much nicer in the metal than pics

im taking a break from modifying so a quick car out the wrapper is my aim instead of needing to remap it to make it quicker. each to there own and all that :)

your kidding ain't ya 2.0 fabia will kill a BMW dunno why u'd want one of them

I dont like the stance at all. Nor the seats.

Lovely! At last VW are remembering their heritage and putting back the Golfball shifter and the check seats!! I would reject any Mk5 GTI if it didnt have the check seats , black leather is just boring. I'd like to see it in a proper GTI colour like White , I think that would look great with that red highlight on the grille. Having said that I'd still rather have a mint Mk1! ;)
