Hi,

I'm kind of new here, and am looking at getting a VRS Occy.

Drive the Deal are advertising the car at 15951.06.

What do you think the chances of my local dealer matching this price are?

Where are you based? Simpsons in 'Colne' should come close.

You might get a car from DTD for 16K but don't expect anything much for a PX if you have one.

As Stu says no good for p/x (the dealer they use may do a p/x though at trade though) but if that's not an issue print out the quote and take it to the dealers and ask them to match it.

They will wriggle and squirm and tell you "that's for an import"...it isn't and "you'll never see a car at that price".....you will.

If they will match it all well and good, if not got through DTD.

Good luck.

Thanks guys,

I live in Hereford and have no Px, so will take you advise!

Try Nice New Car. I bought Race Blue on the 18" with Dual Zone etc for

DM Keith Wakefield had 2 pre-registered hatches with 18's and jumbo pack and were trying to sell me one at

It's worth looking at autoebid.co.uk they are a reverse auction site and are quoting a better price than DTD.

Be wary of autoebid....I got a very cheap quote online to rival DTD...then in telephone communication (their idea not mine) with them (probably thru my requesting a px price), the price of the new car suddenly went up to list price and they sited 12 weeks wait time.

They may not of wanted my px but seemed a tw*t of a way to wriggle out.
