standard radio button

Featured Replies

one of the buttons (3) has fallen off my radio. i dont think i knocked it or anything but it wont stay on now. i am getting my car serviced on the 7th....will this be covered by the garentee?

ta

if it doesn't look like it has been damaged it should be covered under the warranty

On the early Fabia the station search button was designed to be removed as a security feature, when removed there was a flashing red LED behind it.

But its 3th (station) button, as far as I understand!

yeah, it is the number 3 button which is very annoying. hopefully it will be a quid or something to replace if it isnt under garentee......

Erm... You may find that you can't get them. An entire cd-tuner - yes, a single button, probably not.

How hard did you bash it to break it? :D

i honestly dont know. one day i accelerated from the lights and it just fell off. obviously it must have been knocked but cant explain it.....not sure if it was kept in by something else which has been lost as i only have the button.

I wondered why it came out on the test drive when the salesman pushed it :D I presumed it was broken, but wasnt too fussed becuase I was putting my own head unit in. Ill have to have a look now and see if its supposed to come out with my own eyes

Hi, i know this is an old thread, but I am having the same issue.

I've lost the '1' & '6' buttons off the stock SkodaAuto Symphony stereo from a vRS (absolutely no idea how they disappeared), and it's really bugging me.

Does anyone know where I can find replacements, preferably near NZ?

I doubt you will be able to get the buttons unless you buy a scrap stereo and take the relevant buttons off it. Probably just as easy to fit a new stereo.

I can probably tell you how they break. They're hinged rather than mounted on a rubber mat. So prod at one of them too hard on the wrong edge and the fixings might come away or break off. These days I'd suggest replacing the symphony with a mechless head unit and running bluetooth from your phone or a USB stick.
