First question! MP3 playback?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Newbie here! Hello all!

Getting a Octavia 05 plate (used of course) on 1st Feb...

As far as I've been told I won't be able to play CD's with MP3's in the car - can somebody confirm this?

The audio system is the "Stream" model and it dosn't have MP3 written on it. There's also a 6 Disc changer in the boot.

I don't know if there is a 3.5mm jack socket anywhere - at least I know there isn't one in the center jumbo box....

Anybody?

The items that you mention were revisions for the 07 model year released around 05/06 onwards.

There is an OEM Ipod option.

Right - so as mine is an earlier model, the head unit won't play MP3's - damm!!

What's the OEM ipod option then? I assume just a cable? Where does it plug-in to? Is there a connector in the glove box?
