What do you all think

Featured Replies

I think I have narrowed by new car choice down to a vRS Furby, however I have a few issuies.

1. The seats, why oh why are they so light coloured, and why can't I choose leather seats as an option?

2. It looks like the stereo is a bit meh, I want to be able to play MP3's, will changing the radio effect my warrenty?

3. Which colour should I choose? I favour the black magic, but like the seats, I bet it would be awfull to keep clean, what about tangerine, does that look nice?

What do you think fellas?

1. No problem, just get leather fitted by Seat Surgeons in York for around £800

2. Fitting a new stereo will not affect the warranty

3. black is nice, but shows every spec of dirt. I'd go for silver or red.

Go for it...!

Buy one, you won't be disappointed!!

Admittedly the seats are difficult to keep clean, espescially if you have a dog and a baby like me, not to mention the wife!! Leather seats are a factory fitted option if you fancy paying around £1400(?). If you want leather seats the best option is to take the car to Seat Surgeons who will retrim the seats and door cards for approximately £700 and get very good reviews!!

As far as colour goes we chose Black Magic and have not regretted it, although it is difficult to keep the car looking top notch, espescially at the moment!! At the end of the day it's down to personal choice, same as the car you choose!

it's the light coloured seats that put me off too! i'd get them dirty really quickly

Just called Seat Surgeons and they are sending out some swatches for me to choose.

It seems they have people in Surrey and Redditch too, well happy as I live in Hereford :)

mmm what to do...

Took one out for a run today, and it is for sure a pokey little beast.

I was a little disopointed by the overall finish of the dash and how the whole thing is put together, anyway I managed to negotiate a deal of 12200 with ESP, heated seats and black magic paint.

I didn't find it that comfy my arms didnt seem to have anywhere to go, The Hire car I have now (Focus Zetic) has support for both elbows.

Will get back to the dealer tomorrow, but I think I might go out and buy a banger to tide me over till the special edition comes out, that or go for a boring but better finished Focus 1.8 TDCI Zetic Climate........

The dash does everything you want - without being glitzy & in your face

Support for both elbows - !!!!!!!!!!!!

Better finished. Do you mean more tacky & less durable ?

Ford are a lot lot better than they used to be (from what I read, am told) - but I still have a serious distrust (confirmed to some degree by the owner reports I read on some sites), and the Fabia diesels are very reliable (reliability issues are mostly down to 2002 and earlier petrols - save for the leaky rear doors). The build quality, the sturdiness, in my opinion is excellent.

Besides, every man and his dog has a Ford.

He he, not at the same time :)

Just go and geta 2hr unaccompanied test drive on some nice A/B road and have some fun!

So you chose your car based on what other people drive?

As for the elbow issue, there is a central arm rest available as a retro-fit for the Fabia but you really shouldn't be resting your elbows while you're driving :P:rofl:

No, I looked at Focii when I was 'hunting'.

Just the Fabia is not as prevalent - and the vRS pretty rare

Why don't you hold out for the Yaris sport? There is a thread on it somewhere on here, it looks nicer than a standard Yaris and the figures are good from what I can remember.

I havn't got around to finding anything to keep my vrs seats clean yet, but there are plenty of recommendations on here.

1, Ford are a lot lot better than they used to be

2, the Fabia diesels are very reliable

3, Besides, every man and his dog has a Ford.

1, agreed Ford are a lot better than they used to be ,but they still go wrong

2, brilliant VW PD1.9tdi engine , much better than any current Ford unit , we have at least 10-20 diesels in a week with faults

3, that is the reason i will never have one (on the road anyway as i'm contemplating a Focus for track days)
