Cruise control stops working.

Worked okay this morning on the way to work. Took my car to Kwikfit to have the exhaust rattle fixed, not that it has anything to do with it.

Now the cruise control doesnt work.

Any ideas Briskodians, to why its not working, do they disable from time to time, can something else effect it.

Ill give the dealer a call monday, if it doesnt come back.

Oh **** i have no brake lights too. Ahhhhhh!

If you can find someone on here with VAG COM in your area i'd as them to have a look at it.

Likley problem is that your brake pedal sensor has gone (Cruise turns off when you put ur foot on the brake)- esp if you've got no brake lights!

Good luck getting it fixed

Sorted it now, it was the brake light switch.

Followed this:

Repairing the Brake Light Switch on your Mk4 Jetta/Golf/Beetle

This is why i love Briskoda, the search gave me what i wanted and problem solved, no visit to a garage and saved me money again.

I LOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS SITE.
