too many parts to find correct fittings , has any one the correct part numbers or size ( 280/288/312 for Front and Rear brake sets on the Octy TDI 130 bhp .Also do i need the wear indicator pads for the front . Thanks

they wont be 280mm that's for sure, vw group havn't used 280mm discs for ages

Sorry Mk 1 , as its the 130 bhp 6 speed ( why buy a mk 2 at 140 ) well i will when i have enough dosh for the VRS . :) :)

more likely to be 256mm or 288mm

there will be a code somewhere either 1LQ or 1LS on the chassis label

GSF parts for mine (2003/53 130PD L&K) were

60190 Front Disc @ £ 23.50+vat each (288mm)

64332 Front pad set @ £ 37.50+vat (wear ind on pasngr side only)

Thanks for the input . looks as if the fronts are 288 , can i assume that rear are 256 as these seem to be the ones mainly advertised for vw models ..

I've never bought any, but according to Haynes all the diesel rears are 232mm x 9mm.

GSF have an enquiry facility on their website, if you put in your car's details they will get back to you with (their) appropriate part numbers.

My Haynes agrees with you Tom!, only 1.8 AUQ has 256x20mm rears. :thumbup:

dont believe everythin the haynes manual tell you tho..... the fabia one is full of mistakes
