Parcel Shelf

Featured Replies

Is it just me or does the Roomster parcel shelf appear to be totally the wrong shape/size to cover the boot.

You can clearly see the contents of what you are carrying which you may prefer to be out of sight from prying eyes.

One idea would be like on the Toyota Yaris... this has a small flap of carpet or similar which drapes from the end of the parcel shelf (nearest the rear seats) and clips on to the seats themselves. When you then adjust the rear seats laterally to increase/decrease the load space like you can on the Roomster, the carpet either goes taught or looser (and drapes more) - depending on the direction of seat movement.

At all times though your contents are covered up.

Here is a solution!

I have ordered the boot cover (Item number: DMK770005) from the local Skoda dealer. Its about 18 Euro + tax.

Yeah, I find that too. It is obviously down to the mobile back seats. I think some home made accessories may be needed to keep prying eyes out. Also, with the centre seat in table mode, the contents of the boot can be spilled into the car.

Steve.

I thought the dog guard would have stopped that from happening (middle seat down issue) but the guard bit is only from the top of the seat upwards.

Yes, but the dog guard is big, ugly and made from steel wire. No thank you.:thumbdwn: I was thinking of a bit of black cloth fastened to the top of the parcel shelf with self adhesive velcro, draped behind the back seats. Unobtrusive and not too unsightly.:)

I was commenting on your problem with the middle seat being down. I've got the dog guard to come anyway due to having a dog but I'll also be getting the cover that goes onto the back of the seat as the boot will be full of kit most days.

get the pimp tint option!! problem solved:)

Black cloth + Velcro has worked well, but sticky stuff starts to come off in heat. Will be getting the "filler bit"
