Heh, my mums mini on Goodyear Runflats had no problem getting up a minor hill which was snow packed this morning. Great for dry roads, but it should be a selling feature that when used in the snow will result in a day off work :p

My sister is happy too, she got a lift with me to school this morning, and not with my mum, so shes home too :)

i did notice bengie had all 4 of his gsd-3 shod wheels spinning whilst he was moving his octavia off the road this morning :D but it was no way near as bad as his transit...

Sounds like I'm gonna have fun on my way home tonight then.

Yup, mine don't work either.

I took the accord instead. No day off here :(

they arent the best in snow really, but not the worse either :)

No snow here to test them :(

Or should that be :), you decide! Depends how devoted you are to your job ;)

deffo one of these :( here due to lack of snow

my F1's were excellent unless i made them act all silly :)

Most rotational tyres are pants in the snow:thumbdwn: As Vredestein say any month with a "R" in it you should have winter tyres on:(

Stick to my Rossos meself

March?!!

Vredestein sales ploy?? :rubchin:

This is the type of weather where having for space savers makes sense! Instant snow tyres! Nice and skinny to cut through the snow.

Just having one though and fitting that would be make it a bit more, errr, interesting I suppose :D

I'd love to fit 4 spacesavers in the snow though, just to see what it was like

Be like driving a 2CV but with 4 times the weight:rofl:

I was thinking Alain Prost ice racing stylee, but perhaps not! :drivesaf:

as opposed to tyres that don't rotate? :P ;)

i wouldn't know what my gsd-2's are like in the snow - i was tucked up indoors, nice and toasty like

My two front GSD3's were great yesterday... Maybe becuase they were one day old though and lots of tread :D

Still snowed in today (Saturday) :x

Cant even get out and go watch the wyedean rally, Saying that if i could get out i should instead be in work.

Dont think the boss believes me as there is very little snow in Chepstow apparently, and its only 9miles away.

Dont think our quad is rolling Eagle F1's and thats very tail happy too :D

I found the F1's on the front to be fine in snow, but on slush or compacted snow they were useless! I got less traction than two BMW's in front of me :o

Then again, for the rest of the year they are spot on so I ain't changing them!

I think that's key to the problem, and why we end up with this level of disruption when a small amount of snow arrives! Our cars just aren't kitted out to drive properly on a surface other than tarmac. You can't really expect a summer/all-weather tyre to deal with snow particularly effectively. Otherwise we'd moan for the rest of the year about the lack of dry grip etc.

To do it properly, we all need a winter set of wheels, with winter tyres fitted. Certainly if we're going to see increasing levels of snow in the coming years? Who knows....
