Had started to notice this with mine recently as it approached its 20K service. But the noise seems to have disappeared since the service.

I wondered whether the oil might have thinned out over the 10K of its life, and changing it for some newer stuff provided a little extra lubrication?

... but I'm no mechanic.

my car has a ticking sound on start up on a cold day but dissapears, almost sounds like something attached to the fanbelt is rubbing against something
