Valuation...?

Featured Replies

Hey Guys

Please help me put a value on my car as I am considering putting her up for sale. Apologies if wrong forum...

2002 Octavia 1.8T 4x4

Dark blue

53,000 miles

FSSH

All Elegance/4x4 refinements

Mods

312mm TT brake upgrade with Zimmerman drilled discs

Green Cotton Air Filter

Forge 007 Diverter Valve

Custom Code Phase 1 Remap

Team Dynamics Pro Race 17" wheels (originals to be included in sale)

Overall

The car is well looked after using Zymol and Meguirs products. There are a number of small stone chips on the bonnet. The miles are most down to motorway use, but the car is always brought up to temperature before making full use of the turbo.

It is a very comfortable, understated car with enough power to suprise plenty of supposed 'performance cars'! The only reason I am selling is to allow me to free up funds for a house deposit.

Try this link.

Vauxhall

Fom the grey tab marked 'Owners' choose 'value you car' from the drop down link and then click 'continue'.

Values are supposedly taken from Glasses Guides

This will give you a rough guide to your car if it was 'standard' . The worth of the mods is of course up to yourself.

Thanks very much.

Gives part ex price. Approx.

If part-ex is £4400 then a private sale should be a little more. Probably worth feeding it into Parkers as well. Price also depends on where you live and what the demand is like. I know that down here in the SW I see vRS's for sale at massivley different prices to say Manchester or London.

I think £5000 is a fair price.

if £4400 is the trade-in price, then £5000 is probably spot on (considering you've made a couple of good mods!) Less than that and you are robbing yourself.

Don't forget that mods can often devalue a car when it come to selling it on.

Cheers for all the responses.

I think I will take some pictures at the weekend and pop her up on here, pistonheads etc., and gauge any interest.
