Right...

Is there anyway I am going to know if my car is over fuelling? Can I put my now clean filter back in my car without oiling it, until I can get some of this oil?

Should I go to AMD this weekend, as I am going to be about half an hour away?

The car is going to have a service in a bit, so can I leave it all until then?

Do not put the filter in without oil!!!!!!!!!!

It's the oil which traps the dirt!

Chris

Isn't the Generic AMD remap based upon Ross's old vRS when remaps were relatively new to the Fabia TDI?

What I mean by this is, at the time everyone wanted "agressive" remaps with peak power etc, recently the demand has been for smooth remaps that are more usable in the real world. So given the above, I assume the AmD remap is relatively aggressive by comparison to newer remaps available.

I thought it was. If you ask them nicely they will change it for you.

I would either just put a paper one back in or not worry about it until you either get the oil. It won't kill it.

It wouldn't be wise get your map changed based on a dirty filter...

Indeed - if you take it to a dealer or a specialist, they should have a paper filter. If you were to go to AMD they'd probably have a green filter in stock.

Also Awesome can send them out to you, with stuff like that you'd probably be able to get it within a day or so. They also sell the re-oiling kit.

Annoyingly I only remembered about mine just today, which sux as mine will (all going well) get tweaked a bit tomorrow. If the filter is dirty/old it will not be tuned to the best capability :(

AmD in Bicester??

They aint there anymore. They have been taken over and dismantled.

Has the remainder of the team been able to find jobs elsewhere or will they relocate with the company?

No idea, it has been sold off so I would guess they are now redundant as the new owners are a fair way from Bicester.

Emily if you want to have you map altered. Speak with John at DNA Tuning

He'll charge around £250 to have it altered.

Unless there is something wrong with it, the no.

Been thinking about going IP for sometime, so as long as it is not damaging my car then I will leave it for the minute.
