Fabia vRS or Ibiza Sport

I'm thinking of buying a Fabia vRS having had an excellent Tdi Elegance a couple of years ago. Only thing wrong was the horrible steering wheel. Luckily the vRs has a leather one.

Apart from price which is better the Ibiza or the VRS. I drove an Ibiza and found it had a very hard ride and was rather noisy and cramped. People tell me the vRS ride is a better compromise between sport and comfort and that even though it has the same engine it is quieter inside.

I'm sure someone posted a comparison, either on here or on www.seatcupra.net of the 2 cars. He had an Ibiza, but really rated the Fabia.

I was torn between a standard ibiza and the fabia I now have - in the end, I didn't like the way the 2 ibizas I test drove kept bouncing up and down when they encountered the slightest bump - and that was only at 50mph!

Fabia felt much safer, and my local skoda dealer was far better than the seat guys...

Another question. I've heard that the fabia us due a mild face lift fairly soon. I wouldn't want to buy a vRS and then find that 6 months later it was an out of date model. dealers will never let on. Does anyone know when and now noticeable the facelift will be?

I was referring to the "user" road tests, i.e. the ones members have made, such as the one Colin (Neo_VR) did on seatcupra.net. I only mention it 'cos you posted on cupranet saying it was a review well worth having linked on briskoda
