New Superb?

Featured Replies

Looking at the pics again, which I keep doing, it seems like the back looks similar to the proposed new Mondeo from Ford.

I was hoping deep down that the new Superb was going to take its influence from the Phaeton, a car I love!

looks almost like it in the rear just a baby one! i've also noticed its bye bye fancy flush airvents... :(

I like that a lot.

Anyone have any ideas about engines or will it just be the usual choice from the VAG cars. 2.0TFSI would be nice.

1.4 TSI (140-170 h/p)

1.6 FSI

TFSI 1.8 or 2.0

TDI 1.9 or 2.0

There's some photos of it testing today under a stretched Octavia body at Spy Photos: Nov

There are some protoype shots here aswell!

Is the superb 1.4 any good.

if the've dropped a 1.4 engine into a Superb I'm guessing it'll be nowhere near good.

Think perhaps you were thinking of another model mate ... fabia perhaps? If so, there's a fabia section of the forum that you'll find helpful.

It's the turbo 1.4 tsi thing I think. Reviews suggst that it's willing but slightly under powered for the car. Ask in the Superb II forum for a more detailed response.

They've dropped a 1.4 into a Superb II? Wow, never heard of that before. Hardly surprising it's reported as being underpowered. Wonder who came up with that idea.

Anyhow I stand corrected. Here's a review and here's the stats.

Anyone who drove a 105 HP Diesel in a Superb will be surprised about the power of this motor.

The 1,4 TSI has more power actually on the wheel in many situations than the 130 HP Diesel.
