Well I've got a transporter van 2.5TDI, quite quick too as remapped

The plan is to rip my engine out, keep the useful bits and hopefully the replacement engine should be dropped off at APS on Thursday. Then early/middle next week it should be back together, back to Superchips to RR it to make sure it's holding up well, and leave it with the guys for a bit to make sure they are happy with it.

Then I'm gonna do a bit of checking again myself :P and fingers and all other body parts crossed, things should be sorted WOOT

Good luck mate - on a positive note - if Hayley has been supportative and sweet to you while you've gone through this real personal hell, you're a very lucky man!

(SWMBO would have had my guts for garters about a month ago, had I been into the same kind of story :eek: .....)

It's a bit of a 'no choice' situation - I've spent the money on the car, it has to work as I need to keep my job.

That said a 2.0 16V PD engine was considered, however at more than triple the cost of the engine alone I didnt think that would be worth it (i.e. in that case I would be in trouble with SWMBO) - also I have no clue what would have happened to my insurance premium, i.e. it would go up but by how much
