I will be helping a friend move house this week, and need to know whether of not a divan style bed base will fit in the Octy?

Errr rent a van, makes life alot eaiser.

Only one room being moved, from a shared house into a shared house.

Take a run at it and see what happens.

Or take some rough measurements.

I'm doing the same tomorrow.

A single bed is 3ft wide x 6ft long.

I off out to measure the size of the boot.

Oh, by the way, I currently have a Focus estate rental car.

So we will be able to compare notes.

I usually find a tape measure very helpful in these situations

Our Daughter now has her bunk beds.

So, the frame (dismantled) and two single matresses fitted in the back of the Focus estate.

Well with about 18" hanging out the back.

How did you get on with the Octy?

Tie it to the roof with some rope if all else fails!

Got a single mattress in my Octy II estate and closed the tailgate but is was slightly bent up at the end. All I needed were some curtains and I could have had a kip in there!!!

The bed fitted!!! Put the front seats right forward, in it went with less than an inch width and no length to spare. It slotted in a treat, although the seat could't be pushed very far back, so less than ideal for a long journey.

Bloody impressive all the same. It didn't fit in my mates Hijet.
