Yes, the engine is very good but there is one floor in that ebay auction.

The auction states that the next cambelt change is not due until 240K miles, we all know this to be wrong. Maybe if the car had continued to be serviced in the skoda dealer network rather than by Subaru the cambel would have been changed acording the service schedule. It missed one change, and if the winning bidder goes by this auction will miss another in 2 years.

Could make a good buy for someone.

I'd give Brokelyn Skoda a quick bell to verify the history, other than that, hard to go wrong for the money really.

My handbook states 120k miles for a cambelt change. Although to be honest I'd go for around the 60k mark.

Yep, the original figure was 120K for the belt change. This was revised some time ago to 4yrs 60K max as many belts were failing.

True, but its black and the pictures are taken from 6 foot away, not easy to tell...could be wrong though.

Yep, all the larger engines do, and the diesels.

I think Jabbasport said they get the best remap results from the engines with the most mileage on them.
