Hi Everyone finally got myself a "55" Reg Silver VRS after about 2 years of trying to convince the wife to let me buy one I just have afew questions

1. Can you have Xenons fitted as mine does not have any. (Factory fitted skoda ones not the ones off the internet which blind people)

1. Does Re-mapping do any damage at all to the engine, My brother in-law has just had his A3 re-mapped from 140bhp to 202bhp by jabba sport and it goes like S##T but I do not want to damage my baby.

Any more newbie info would be great, Thanks for the help.

1. - No to the Xenons

1. Search on remaps as there is plenty of discussion on whether a remap does damage, altho be advised - Mods can cause premature expiry of warranty.

Hmmm.

1. Nope as stated but there are a lot of good uprated bulbs around. Try powerbulbs.co.uk

2. If you make a machine work harder than it's really intended to then it will wear out quicker. However there are many who have done 60k + on a remap and as the pd130 is quite a hardy little engine then i would have though it wouldn't be too much bother.

TBH if you have grief then it was going to happen anyway (Speaking as someone who has just had their turbo and intercooler replaced)
