Jabba Bailey complete package?

Featured Replies

Just received my new Bailey DV30 from Jabba this morning. I have seen various articles on the T'internet regarding fitting these types of valve, and all talk about additional hoses and clips coming as part of a kit.

As I only received the valve itself, have I managed to do an act of great baffoonery and only order the one part?

As this will be the first time I have ever attempted to fit something like this, I was was wondering if its just a matter of old valve out and the Bailey in. I hope this is the case as I did not get any fitting instructions. And I don't fancy doing a 300 mile round trip for 30mins of installation work!!!

Please help a car modder in training :)

I'm surprised you didn't get any new jubilee clips as the OE ones are crimped so you'll need to cut them off - a bit of a b11gger to do actually.

Other than that a piece of p**s. Just one tip and lube the ends of the hoses with soapy water (Fairy liquid or similar) to ease application of the hoses onto the DV.

Jabba receive them without any clips so hence you don't get 'em. I fitted mine the other week and used jubilee clips. And the OEM ones are a pain in the butt to get off I still have the marks :)

Don't Jabba usually include the adaptor so the DV fits under the engine cover ok?

I was under the impression they do...

You won't get the jubilee clips...unless you happen to be at Jabba were they'll fit it free and throw in the clips.

Did it come with a right angled top connection?

Yes...it's just a case of a straight swap.

It did com with a very small 90 degree pipe sticking out of the top.

All is fine then....just swap straight over.

Oh....and don't forget to replace the one shot clips with jubilee clips.

Best way to remove these clips without damaging yourself or pipe work, or other car bits is to get some "tin-snips" - i.e. big nasty looking wire cutter type things with long handles so you can apply plenty of leverage. Then just snip through the looped-up bit of the OEM clip at right-angles to it. No problem coz you can just peel it off with your fingers then!

or use a decent sized pair of pliers and do the twist !

tin cutters sounds like a plan though, i'm sure i read someone just pulling the pipes off the OE valve and then slipping the clips off, dont know how hard that would be.

i'd stick to the tin cutters and chopping them off carefully so you dont damage the pipe. as for jubilee clips halfords do a lovely range of sizes

Forge DV's come with clips. (most of the time - LOL)

I will instruct Carole to include jubilee clips with all postal ordered Bailey D/V 30 Valves from now on..!!!!
