Age/Modding correlation

Featured Replies

Just wondering if there's a correlation between the age of Skoda owners and the extent/nature of the modifications that they carry out.

It seems the youngsters are keener to change the appearance of their motors, whereas older owners are happy with how their cars look, but would like a bit more go/stopping/handling.

well im 19. didnt modify my last car (P reg clio) apart from a sound system, and with my new car (W reg fabia) i havent dont a thing. the only think that i think is worth doin is upgraded sound ^^.

As for my dad whos 45, he has a standard vRS and is thinking of a remap after his service in march :P

Im 27 and have just done simple bolt on mods. Re map, pd 160 intake, k&n panel filter, eibachs, strut brace and full milltek exhaust. Im only going to fit the Jabba ARB when the group buy is sorted and that will be that. Im not into going ott and like to keep things as original and as standard as possible.

Dont like drawing attention to my car. A wolf in sheeps clothing!:D

You might think I'm young having done what I have, and what I continue to do, but I'm 28 - getting on a bit now...

Makes sense, usually ties in with insurance costs.

I think its true. Im 19 and not long had the car and Iv put lexus lights in, and got a sound system and interior green neons 4 the footwells to put in. Plus Im putting alloys on it and replacing the front grill by summer. I like my car 2 be different, hence why my previous car was illuminous yellow like a builders reflector jacket!

Myself and Harry_vRS... both had Fabia vRS's modded quite well...

FMIC's, Full System BlueFlames, Suspensions, Remaps, Filters etc....

Harry went one step further than me. He added Hydraulic Suspenion, which could flip a car over.

:eek:28? I had you down as being much younger than that with everything you've done to your car...

I'm still youngish at 24 and I've lowered my car, added a set of VRS alloys, remapped and added the PD160 intake.

If i'd bought a VRS to start with I wouldn't have bothered changing the appearance, but as I was too poor I've had to make do with what I've got...

I'm 42 - but to mess up your theory - exterior has a Honda s2000 ariel, have milotec stainless steel badges front and rear, 5 brake light mod, colour coded grille, medium tint heat film all around, awaiting Seat splitter.

Cheers

Bas

LOL

I made the mistake of not fitting them onto the roof so I could self right myself. Bugger.
