How to change rear fog light for continental use???

Featured Replies

thanks for all the info...

but i have contacted the skoda dealer in germany and then skoda uk for a comparison on the octy 2 rear fog and it is definatly now a re wire link from oneside to the other according to skoda uk and dealer.

Hi all

Can anyone please help me?

I have encountered a problem with my 2007 octavia 2.0l fsi sport, I live in germany as part of british forces and i have to get the rear fog light changed from drivers side to passengers side or even both to light up at same time.

] have had a look and there is a bulb in each side that can do the job but is there any way of switching them or having them both light at once???

any help will be greatly appreciated.

dealer should be able to do it for you as it can be done with the dealer computer.

From what I hear you can get them both turned on (although some dealers won't do this). That would mean you only needed to get this done once rather than swapping side every time.

Oh and welcome to briskoda

No problem to turn both on. You need someone with VAG-COM and the know-how.

VRS Stu did it for me.

I asked the local Skoda Dealer to switch both on on my Octavia VRS, I even refered to a post on here with the codes as they initially said it wasn't possible. Checked with Skoda who said it might be possible but could involve wiring changes!

Eventually I was told that the latest versions with the red brake discs definitely should not be done as it is something to with a voltage regulator issue.

Does anybody know differently?

I have both done, I have green calipers, I have posted before about how I done it. Someone with VagCom can do it.

I've done it for red caliper versions too, without any issue.

Mine done last week on a routine service at my request by the UK main dealer. He was most impressed that I provided the coeds to do it!!! Thanks, Briskoda: now an even, not lopsided, high-intensity glare of red. Don't believe anyone who sys it can't be done: that's just tosh!

Can you post them as my car goes in for a service next week and I would like it done.

Octavia-vRS.com - Octavia II Controller Coding

I to can confirm it is entirely possible on a 2007MY car.
