Skoda Emblem on Key -- fallen off

Featured Replies

Picked up the new vRS on saturday and today... the Skoda Emblem has fallen off the key and is lost.

Should this be a warranty item?

Luckily, the rest of the car seems very well screwed together :-) Apart from rattling back seats which are "currently" cured with a shot of WD40

It's a pain when this type of thing happens, not a problem, just irritating when the car is new. A bit like getting a new mobile phone and putting a mark on the sreen in the first few hours of ownership.

To be honest, I can't see this as being a warrenty item, although you could have a joke about it with your dealer I suppose. The keys themselves that carry the badge are rather expensive and I am uncertain if you would be able to buy a replacement badge, unless you could trace the company who makes them, no doubt producing several different badges for different cars.

You could check the net, but I haven't seen anything on my recent travels.

Sorry I haven't got a tangible solution for you, but someone else might have a better idea. Glad to here the rest of the car is Ok :)

I'd go back with. It shouldn't happen, simple as that.

Same thing happened to me but luckily I found it and stuck it back in with superglue - however it does indicate that they're not all that well made.

No issues - Replacement top part of key ordered and can simply be swapped over.

Nice and easy then:thumbup:

Oh no, I can't agree. It just needed a better title, Badge Engineering would surely have been more credible!
