it was delivered by anc a well known courier company dont think anyone saw me taking it up to the garage as it was in a large cardboard box whoever broke in knew what was in there due to the fact the lock was cut with bolt cutters

just so annoyed as i was really looking forward to having it fitted

it only took me 2 months to save up for just sickens me really

You would need to report it to dibble first then give them the crime reference number. If he's had no recent claims you should be ok. Good luck mate, makes me sick people do this :(

i claimed on my parents house insurance when i killed my tv once.

I claimed for all my bike gear when I went down the road ;)

Also claimed for an expensice hockey stick when that got nikced once too :) It can be done, it's just whether his parents will let him.

It's always worse when it's something you've saved especially for  I suspect there'll be an excess on the insurance :( Some policies don't cover garages but some do cover goods temporarily away from home so might be worth having a look at the small print before submitting a claim.

It'd be good to save the wrecked lock to show the police that forced entry was made as that'll go on the report which will support the crime number they give you.

Best of luck

yeah i would do but they took the lock with them just looks like i will have to get another one a really big one really annoying tho as my peugeot 306 was in there which is highly modified and it wasnt touched not even a scratch i suppose its 1 positive point out of a dozen bad points

Sorry to read your news, it seems this country is overrun with thieves. You really can't leave anything anywhere without it getting nicked. The police are just there to dish out crime numbers and investigation is usually out of the question as it's so rife they just can't cope or hope for a positive outcome if it goes to court.

I think that ship wreak thing the other week summed this country up well, the state of that beach after people streamed there to salvage (steal). When I saw the pictures of the mess I wondered if the same would have happened in Scandinavia for instance but I suspect people would have streamed onto the beach to 'tidy up' their environment rather than steal. This is what we are and the sooner we come to terms with it we take better care of our things and don't leave ourselves open to these scumbags that are given total freedom from the law.

I'll stop now as I could go on for ever.

Good luck with the insurance thing.
