I don't think this would be easy to do. When i had a look at mine when the airbag had gone off it looked like the badge was rivited to the cover from the inside. (I was going to buy a secondhand VW airbag and swap the badge)

I think it would be a bit risky to start tampering with it.

I'd second that ..... after all the badge needs to be firmly attached otherwise you could end up with it embedded in your forehead when the air bag goes off.

I wanted to get rid of the skoda badge on the rear of my Rs (front has badgeless grill) and also the wheel centres so i thought i would have some made to make the Vrs a little diff due to the cost of the artwork and the materials ive asked them to make a load of them and so will sell them for COST the large badge will be

Dave from your description Im assumng the 80mm badge is rectangular in shape? if so is it poss to get them made small enough to cover the garish "Octavia" logo under the hazard light switch? Im sure they would be a great seller too

80mm round badges same as boot ive now had a few back but still not perfect

the wheel centres ok but boot badge does not look cool!! so it will be on going for a while until they are perfect hopefully when they are done i will post pictures ..

you got any pics of the wheel centres?

kenny i will sort some out and if not too busy will try to post 2morrow both wheel and boot badges. Ive fitted the wheel badges and steering wheel badge

and they look good but i do think the steering wheel badge is a no go due to the airbag.

When finished they will be sold in sets as 4 small 2 large this will make it cheaper to make as sets.

Kenny i sent 2 badges out to phil(piv34uk) so that he could post picture but they got damaged in the post and these was the only spare ones i had so at the mo i cannot make anymore due to my work comittments SORRY to be a disapointment if i get chance will try again.

Maybe pictures of the damaged ones would start to give an idea?
