Featured Replies

Just tried the new LV online quote system........

Hmm, must give it another try then. Last year LV came up as most expensive (and I never picked up that phone) for me.

Yep...same here with the old online quote system.....most expensive.

Thought you might like the sig. ;)

Wanted to do my bit but couldn't be bothered to think of anything different...didn't put it in bold though. :D

Definitely improved now - ive just got a quote from them for

How does the LV online quote system cope with mods, ie are you able to declare them when getting a quote?

Denis, i've just looked at the LV site, and it looks exactly like it did 6 months ago to me...

New link anyone?

As for the (old) online system, it specifically states that they can NOT insure a modified car. This is the precise reason why you really need to call them for a proper quote ;)

Yep - does not cope with mods so will still have to ring to get the official quote. However, the previous site seemed to be completely off the wall on the level of quotes versus when you rang up whereas this seems to be a more reasonable level.

The front pages states they do not accept vehicles modified for increased performance

Dave, they do, but you have to ring & declare all your mods ;)

As for the difference between online & phone quotes, it was almost identical for me when i switched..

There is no place to specifiy your mods but.......

....as Stu said they now quote something more realistic.

Will give them a call and broach the subject of mods even though I know that they don't care unless you increase the capacity.

As way of a interesting question what would they do if you swapped for a smaller engine....like one of Erik's hat stand 240bhp 1.6s? ;)

they wont even give me a quote online!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Kenny,

It depends on the weather ;)

Give them a try, it might be worth the call.

Also try Frizell Insurance, they are Liverpool Victoria's parent company and may or may not have different criteria as to who they take on :)
