Hello Katie

Welcome, the Fabia is an excellent buy as a small car. It depends on your motoring requirements are. If you are more bothered about economy than how fast you can go, and dont do much long distance driving, the 1.2 HTP is ideal. If you want something that is more sporty, the vRS version is highly recommend, most members on this forum have the vRS so they will be able to advise you. The Fabia also comes in an estate version as well if you have to lug more bulky items around on a regular basis.

Are you buying new? The current version of the Fabia (except the vRS which is due to be replace later) is to be replaced with a revised version known as Fabia Mk 2, so you made decide to wait and have one of those if the design is to your taste, or you could shop around and get a good deal on the outgoing model ;)

Hi Katie,

I have a Fabia vRS- replacing my Audi A3 TDi since October. It's fantastic. Fairly fast, economical, fits on the drive, and it's fun. It's not a supercar, but a brilliant all-rounder. Do you have any model in mind?

Welcome to Briskoda Katie.

Hello and welcome to Briskoda Katie.

You wont go wrong buying a Fabia. If you want economy, a Diesel would be a good choice, or a small petrol, but the vRS is a good option, I have had one since new and I've had no trouble with it.

What sort were you thinking of?
